Amherst, NY — Today, the National Organization for Women Political Action Committee announced its endorsement of Alice Kryzan, Democratic candidate for the 26th Congressional District.
Kim Gandy, Chair of the National Organization for Women PAC, highlighted Alice’s tremendous work on behalf of women:
"Alice has been working to break barriers and advocate for women her whole life. Alice will be a champion for women when she goes to Congress and we look forward to working with her to improve the lives of women and families."
The first woman law partner at Buffalo’s largest law firm, Alice has devoted significant time to helping women through her many community volunteer positions.
She has served on the board of the Western New York Women’s Fund, a joint project of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County and the Community Foundation for Buffalo, which provides aid to help women and girls achieve economic self-sufficiency.
She also served as the Chair of the Board of Planned Parenthood of Western New York. And, she worked as the Treasurer of the Women’s TAP Fund, which supports pro-choice women for state and local office.
Alberta Roesser, President of NOW’s Rochester Chapter, praised Alice for her work in the community.
"While many people can talk about their support for women’s rights, Alice has actually done it. She has been out there in our communities helping young women and young girls become economically self-sufficient, providing women with the information and options to make important life decisions, and supporting women who run for political office."
Alice thanked NOW for its support and its strong advocacy for women:
"I'm honored to have the support of such a prominent women’s group, both nationally and right here in the 26th District. And I am touched by the tremendous outpouring of support from women across this district, women who are ready for a change. As your congresswoman, I will be a representative that all of us, men and women alike, can be proud of."
